COVID-19 in Malaysia : 298315 Cases, 270166 Discharged, 1121 Dead

Malaysia reported 2364 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths, but also discharged 3320 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 27 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3320 Patients Discharged!

On 27 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3320 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 270,166 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 90.6%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2364 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2364 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 298,315, with 27,028 active cases – a big drop of 966 cases.

They also shared that there are 11 fewer patients in the ICU – 190 cases right now, and 6 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 99 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 98,979 cases, followed by Sabah with 52,752 cases, Johor with 35,617 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 34,636 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 10 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 10 deaths today. That means a total of 1,121 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1112 : Case 152879 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, stroke, dementia and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1113 : Case 261585 was a 52 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart disease. She passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1114 : Case 288450 was a 74 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #1115 : Case 288785 was a 86 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1116 : Case 288796 was a 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1117 : Case 288799 was a 76 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and stroke. She passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1118 : Case 289104 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, heart disease and chronic liver disease. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1119 : Case 293403 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of COPD. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1120 : Case 289534 was a 45 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the KL Hospital.

Death #1121 : Case 289537 was a 45 year-old foreign female, whose body was brought to the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 46 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 46th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
