COVID-19 in Malaysia : 300752 Cases, 273417 Discharged, 1130 Dead

Malaysia reported 2437 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths, but discharged 3251 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 28 February 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3251 Patients Discharged!

On 28 February 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3251 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 273,166 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 90.6%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2437 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2437 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 300,752, with 26,205 active cases – a big drop of 823 cases.

They also shared that there are 12 additional patients in the ICU – 202 cases right now, and 7 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 93 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 99,893 cases, followed by Sabah with 52,886 cases, Johor with 35,957 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 34,973 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 9 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 9 deaths today. That means a total of 1,130 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1122 : Case 197941 was a 69 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Melaka Hospital.

Death #1123 : Case 209226 was a 81 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1124 : Case 271916 was a 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1125 : Case 272051 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1126 : Case 280631 was a 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1127 : Case 296200 was a 88 year-old Malaysian female, with history of osteoporosis. She passed away at the PPUM Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1128 : Case 296663 was a 57 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1129 : Case 297934 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Taiping Hospital in Perak.

Death #1130 : Case 270974 was a 100 year-old foreign female, whose body was brought to the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

 

Day 47 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 47th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
