COVID-19 in Malaysia : 304135 Cases, 278431 Discharged, 1141 Dead

Malaysia reported 1555 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths, but discharged 2528 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 2 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2528 Patients Discharged!

On 2 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2528 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 278,431 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 91.5%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1555 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1555 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 304,135, with 24,563 active cases – a big drop of 979 cases.

They also shared that there are 6 additional patients in the ICU – 204 cases right now, and 6 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 96 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 101,018 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,043 cases, Johor with 36,610 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 35,193 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 6 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 6 deaths today. That means a total of 1,141 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1136 : Case 170208 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of chronic kidney disease, heart disease, and thyroid cancer. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1137 : Case 264995 was a 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and asthma. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1138 : Case 287277 was a 80 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1139 : Case 292003 was a 57 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, dyslipidemia and pancreatic cancer. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1140 : Case 300878 was a 72 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and asthma. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1141 : Case 302211 was a 44 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Seri Manjung Hospital in Perak.

 

Day 49 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 49th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
