COVID-19 in Malaysia : 305880 Cases, 280707 Discharged, 1148 Dead

Malaysia reported 1745 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, but discharged 2276 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 3 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2276 Patients Discharged!

On 3 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2276 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 280,707 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 91.8%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1745 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1745 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 305,880, with 24,025 active cases – a big drop of 538 cases.

They also shared that there are 9 fewer patients in the ICU – 195 cases right now, and 1 fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 95 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 101,658 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,138 cases, Johor with 36,986 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 35,285 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 7 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 7 deaths today. That means a total of 1,148 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1142 : Case 177654 was a 65 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1143 : Case 274751 was a 50 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity. She passed away at the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1144 : Case 275846 was a 67 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the PPUM Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1145 : Case 291455 was a 86 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, gout and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1146 : Case 299549 was a 55 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #1147 : Case 303575 was a 54 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1148 : Case 191974 was a 71 year-old foreign female, with history of hypertension and stroke. She passed away at the KL Hospital.

 

Day 50 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 50th day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
