COVID-19 in Malaysia : 307943 Cases, 283629 Discharged, 1153 Dead

Malaysia reported 2063 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths, but discharged 2922 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 4 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2922 Patients Discharged!

On 4 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2922 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 283,629 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 92.1%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2063 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2063 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 307,943, with 23,161 active cases – a big drop of 864 cases.

They also shared that there are 2 fewer patients in the ICU – 193 cases right now, and 4 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 99 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 102,288 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,216 cases, Johor with 37,241 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 35,405 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 5 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 5 deaths today. That means a total of 1,153 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1149 : Case 274797 was a 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Pahang.

Death #1150 : Case 285936 was a 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1151 : Case 289599 was a 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1152 : Case 296656 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1153 : Case 304708 was a 70 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 51 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 51st day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
