COVID-19 in Malaysia : 311777 Cases, 289452 Discharged, 1166 Dead

Malaysia reported 1680 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, but discharged 2548 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2548 Patients Discharged!

On 6 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2548 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 289,452 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 92.8%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1680 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1680 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 311,777, with 21,159 active cases – a big drop of 875 cases.

They also shared that there are 12 fewer patients in the ICU – 172 cases right now, and 3 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 84 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 103,908 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,387 cases, Johor with 37,843 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 35,594 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 7 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 7 deaths today. That means a total of 1,166 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1160 : Case 175413 was a 59 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1161 : Case 273211 was a 84 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and gout. She passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1162 : Case 293562 was a 43 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, dyslipidemia and gout. He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1163 : Case 300922 was a 46 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1164 : Case 305624 was a 53 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, heart disease and obesity. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1165 : Case 306026 was a 73 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, dyslipidemia, chronic kidney disease and stroke. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1166 : Case 308191 was a 74 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 53 Of MCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 53rd day of the Movement Control Order 2.0 (MCO 2.0) which will last until 4 March, 2021.

Under MCO 2.0, only critical businesses are allowed to reopen, with interstate and inter-district travel restrictions.

Public events, entertainment outlet and group sports are forbidden. Even schools are closed with education mostly conducted online.
