COVID-19 in Malaysia : 316269 Cases, 296379 Discharged, 1186 Dead

Malaysia reported 1280 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths, but discharged 2345 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 9 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2345 Patients Discharged!

On 9 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2345 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 296,379 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 93.7%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1280 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1280 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 316,269, with 18,704 active cases – a big drop of 1074 cases.

They also shared that there are 5 fewer patients in the ICU – 155 cases right now, and 3 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 76 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 105,844 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,621 cases, Johor with 38,286 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 35,909 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 9 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 9 deaths today. That means a total of 1,186 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1178 : Case 263002 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1179 : Case 277402 was a 88 year-old Malaysian male, with history of stroke. He passed away at the Taiping Hospital in Perak.

Death #1180 : Case 280235 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu.

Death #1181 : Case 306034 was a 66 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1182 : Case 309764 was a 84 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. Her body was brought to the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1183 : Case 310920 was a 51 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Shah Alam Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1184 : Case 314170 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1185 : Case 314171 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and intestinal cancer. He passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1186 : Case 314429 was a 38 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

 

Day 56 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 56th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0) which will last until 18 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
