COVID-19 in Malaysia : 324971 Cases, 308247 Discharged, 1213 Dead

Malaysia reported 1208 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths, but discharged 1973 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1973 Patients Discharged!

On 15 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1973 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 308,247 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 94.9%.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1208 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1208 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 324,971, with 15,511 active cases – a big drop of 768 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 fewer patients in the ICU – 155 cases right now, and 1 fewer patient requiring respiratory support – 70 cases right now.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 109,375 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,932 cases, Johor with 39,204 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 36,480 cases.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 3 deaths today. That means a total of 1,213 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1211 : Case 289115 was a 55 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #1212 : Case 295661 was a 64 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, gout and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1213 : Case 312347 was a 70 year-old foreign male, with history of asthma. He passed away at the KL Hospital.


Day 62 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 62nd day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 18 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
