COVID-19 in Malaysia : 326034 Cases, 309612 Discharged, 1218 Dead

Malaysia reported 1063 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths, but discharged 1365 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 16 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1365 Patients Discharged!

On 16 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1365 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 309,612 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1063 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1063 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 326,034, with 15,204 active cases – a big drop of 307 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 fewer patients in the ICU – 152 cases right now, and 2 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 68 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 109,698 cases, followed by Sabah with 53,970 cases, Johor with 39,295 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 36,566 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 5 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 5 deaths today. That means a total of 1,218 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1214 : Case 250358 was a 74 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1215 : Case 279742 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1216 : Case 300649 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1217 : Case 310336 was a 83 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1218 : Case 314674 was a 84 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, heart disease and COPD. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

 

Day 63 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 63rd day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 18 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
