COVID-19 in Malaysia : 327253 Cases, 310958 Discharged, 1220 Dead

Malaysia reported 1219 new COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths, but discharged 1346 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1346 Patients Discharged!

On 17 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1346 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 310,958 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1219 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1219 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 327,253, with 15,075 active cases – a big drop of 129 cases.

They also shared that there are 2 additional patients in the ICU – 154 cases right now, and 4 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 64 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 110,197 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,001 cases, Johor with 39,464 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 36,620 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 2 deaths today. That means a total of 1,220 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1219 : Case 252696 was a 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1220 : Case 263003 was a 58 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 64 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 64th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
