COVID-19 in Malaysia : 328466 Cases, 312461 Discharged, 1223 Dead

Malaysia reported 1213 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths, but discharged 1503 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1503 Patients Discharged!

On 18 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1503 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 313,461 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.1%.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1213 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1213 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 328,466, with 14,782 active cases – a big drop of 293 cases.

They also shared that there are 1 additional patient in the ICU – 155 cases right now, and 10 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 54 cases right now.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 110,550 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,074 cases, Johor with 39,606 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 36,699 cases.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 2 deaths today. That means a total of 1,223 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1221 : Case 285647 was a 59 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1222 : Case 288898 was a 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Kudat Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1223 : Case 323697 was a 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, gout and heart disease. He passed away at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.


Day 65 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 65th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
