COVID-19 in Malaysia : 333040 Cases, 317289 Discharged, 1233 Dead

Malaysia reported 1327 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths, but discharged 1247 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 21 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1247 Patients Discharged!

On 21 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1247 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 317,289 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.3%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1327 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1327 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 333,040, with 14,518 active cases – an increase of 76 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 additional patients in the ICU – 154 cases right now, and 1 additional patient requiring respiratory support – 65 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 111,906 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,259 cases, Johor with 40,014 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 37,067 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 4 deaths today. That means a total of 1,233 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1230 : Case 193709 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, COPD, adrenal insufficiency and hypothyroidism. He passed away at the Seri Manjung Hospital in Perak.

Death #1231 : Case 292943 was a 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1232 : Case 327082 was a 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1233 : Case 330689 was a 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, heart disease, and COPD. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

 

Day 68 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 68th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
