COVID-19 in Malaysia : 334156 Cases, 318784 Discharged, 1238 Dead

Malaysia reported 1116 new COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths, but discharged 1495 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1116 Patients Discharged!

On 22 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1116 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 318,784 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.4%.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1327 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1495 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 334,156, with 14,134 active cases – a drop of 384 cases.

They also shared that there are 2 additional patients in the ICU – 156 cases right now, and 5 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 60 cases right now.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 112,309 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,295 cases, Johor with 40,100 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 37,225 cases.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 5 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 5 deaths today. That means a total of 1,238 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1234 : Case 314510 was a 52 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #1235 : Case 321492 was a 68 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1236 : Case 324929 was a 84 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Pahang.

Death #1237 : Case 327929 was a 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease, and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Penang Hospital.

Death #1238 : Case 333712 was a 44 year-old foreign male, with history of heart disease. He passed away at the KL Hospital.


Day 69 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 69th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
