COVID-19 in Malaysia : 335540 Cases, 319842 Discharged, 1244 Dead

Malaysia reported 1384 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths, but discharged 1058 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 23 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1058 Patients Discharged!

On 23 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1058 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 319,842 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.3%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1384 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1384 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 335,540, with 14,454 active cases – an increase of 320 cases.

They also shared that there are 8 fewer patients in the ICU – 148 cases right now, and 2 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 62 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 112,934 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,355 cases, Johor with 40,261 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 37,289 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 6 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 6 deaths today. That means a total of 1,244 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1239 : Case 298291 was a 56 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1240 : Case 321598 was a 81 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #1241 : Case 324133 was a 85 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1242 : Case 328318 was a 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease, stroke and intestinal cancer. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1243 : Case 330688 was a 84 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1244 : Case 332649 was a 69 year-old Malaysian female, whose body was brought to the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

 

Day 70 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 70th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
