COVID-19 in Malaysia : 341944 Cases, 326309 Discharged, 1255 Dead

Malaysia reported 1302 new COVID-19 cases and 4 deaths, but discharged 1127 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1127 Patients Discharged!

On 28 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1127 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 326,309 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.4%.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1302 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1302 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 341,944, with 14,380 active cases – an increase of 171 cases.

They also shared that there are 2 additional patients in the ICU – 169 cases right now, and 4 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 76 cases right now.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 114,797 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,623 cases, Johor with 40,902 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 37,668 cases.


COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 4 deaths today. That means a total of 1,255 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1252 : Case 305616 was a 77 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1253 : Case 322496 was a 73 year-old Malaysia female, with history of hypertension, heart disease and cancer. She passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1254 : Case 324886 was a 52 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #1255 : Case 331483 was a 52 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, chronic kidney disease and cancer. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.


Day 75 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 75th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
