COVID-19 in Malaysia : 345500 Cases, 329624 Discharged, 1272 Dead

Malaysia reported 1482 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths, but discharged 1070 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 31 March 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1070 Patients Discharged!

On 31 March 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1070 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 329,624 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.4%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1482 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 1482 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 345,500, with 14,604 active cases – a big increase of 405 cases.

They also shared that there are 3 additional patients in the ICU – 164 cases right now, and 5 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 81 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 116,078 cases, followed by Sabah with 54,767 cases, Johor with 41,255 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 37,820 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 7 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 7 deaths today. That means a total of 1,272 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1266 : Case 169900 was a 65 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the KPJ Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1267 : Case 306019 was a 78 year-old Malaysia male, with history of hypertension, gout and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1268 : Case 311538 was a 58 year-old Malaysian male, with history of gout. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1269 : Case 331988 was a 96 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1270 : Case 342319 was an 87 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #1271 : Case 278812 was a 53 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1272 : Case 343318 was a 67 year-old foreign male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 78 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 78th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 31 March, 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
