Malaysia reported 1510 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, but discharged 1248 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1248 Patients Discharged!
On 10 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1248 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 342,737 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 95.4%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1510 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 1510 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 5 cases imported from overseas
– 3 in Selangor, 2 in KL - 1505 local cases
– 412 cases in Selangor : 23 from existing clusters, 8 from new Kampung Kelanang and Industri Jalan Kebun clusters, 295 from close contact screening, 86 from assorted screening.
– 296 cases in Sarawak : 23 from existing clusters, 3 from new Jalan Capitan and Pujut Satu clusters, 189 from close contact screening, 81 from assorted screening
– 171 cases in Kelantan : 10 from existing clusters, 14 from new Bandar Baru Kubang Kerian Cluster, 108 from close contact screening, 39 from assorted screening
– 131 cases in Sabah : 46 from existing clusters, 57 from close contact screening, 28 from assorted screening
– 104 cases in KL : 1 from existing cluster, 7 from new Jalan Tun Ismail Cluster, 54 from new close contact screening, 42 from assorted screening
– 101 cases in Penang : 28 from existing clusters, 28 from close contact screening, 45 from assorted screening
– 80 cases in Johor : 15 from existing clusters, 21 from new Jalan Kempas Satu and Jalan Padu Industri clusters, 22 from close contact screening, 22 from assorted screening
– 59 cases in Kedah : 17 from existing clusters, 25 from close contact screening, 17 from assorted screening
– 46 cases in Perak : 11 from existing clusters, 24 from close contact screening, 11 from assorted screening
– 44 cases in Terengganu : 24 from existing clusters, 3 from new Kampung Tanjung Cluster, 15 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening
– 28 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 5 from existing clusters, 12 from close contact screening, 11 from assorted screening
– 13 cases in Pahang : 8 from existing clusters, 3 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening
– 10 cases in Putrajaya : 9 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening
– 6 cases in Melaka : 1 from existing cluster, 3 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening
– 2 cases in Labuan : 1 from existing cluster, 1 from assorted screening
– 2 cases in Perlis : 2 from assorted screening
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 359,117, with 15,059 active cases – an increase of 254 cases.
They also shared that there are 25 additional patients in the ICU – 194 cases right now, and 2 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 81 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 119,520 cases, followed by Sabah with 55,670 cases, Johor with 42,240 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 38,769 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 8 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 8 deaths today. That means a total of 1,321 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.
Death #1314 : 56 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart disease, blood-born disease, chronic kidney disease and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1315 : 56 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1316 : 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1317 : 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1318 : 77 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Pahang.
Death #1319 : 83 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout and cancer. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1320 : 72 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and arthritis. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1321 : 48 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout, heart disease, stroke and hyperthyroidism. He passed away at the Kapit Hospital in Sarawak.
Day 88 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 88th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 14 April 2021.
Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.

- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
