COVID-19 in Malaysia : 367977 Cases, 349039 Discharged, 1363 Dead

Malaysia reported 2148 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths, but discharged 1259 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 15 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1259 Patients Discharged!

On 15 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1259 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 349,039 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 94.9%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2148 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2148 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 367,977, with 17,575 active cases – a big increase of 879 cases.

They also shared that there are 8 additional patients in the ICU – 212 cases right now, and 3 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 82 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 121,817 cases, followed by Sabah with 56,367 cases, Johor with 42,708 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 39,419 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 10 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 10 deaths today. That means a total of 1,363 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1354 : 63 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke and heart disease. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1355 : 97 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1356 : 70 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease and gout. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1357 : 74 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and heart disease. He passed away at PPUM in Selangor.

Death #1358 : 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1359 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1360 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1361 : 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and stroke. She passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #1362 : 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1363 : 54 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 93 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 93rd day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
