COVID-19 in Malaysia : 375054 Cases, 353822 Discharged, 1378 Dead

Malaysia reported 2195 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, but discharged 1427 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 18 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1427 Patients Discharged!

On 18 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1427 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 353,822 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 94.3%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2195 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2195 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 375,054, with 19,854 active cases – a big increase of 760 cases.

They also shared that there are 6 fewer patients in the ICU – 219 cases right now, and 2 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 90 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 123,589 cases, followed by Sabah with 56,785 cases, Johor with 43,316 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 40,092 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 8 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 8 deaths today. That means a total of 1,378 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1371 : 59 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1372 : 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout and COPD. He passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1373 : 77 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1374 : 90 year-old Malaysian male, with history of stroke. He passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1375 : 72 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1376 : 37 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1377 : 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1378 : 65 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the Penang Hospital.

 

Day 96 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 96th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
