COVID-19 in Malaysia : 377132 Cases, 355224 Discharged, 1386 Dead

Malaysia reported 2078 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, but discharged 1402 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 19 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1402 Patients Discharged!

On 19 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1402 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 355,224 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 94.2%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2078 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2078 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 377,132, with 20,522 active cases – a big increase of 668 cases.

They also shared that there are 9 additional patients in the ICU – 228 cases right now, and 3 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 93 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 124,046 cases, followed by Sabah with 56,910 cases, Johor with 43,431 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 40,245 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 8 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 8 deaths today. That means a total of 1,386 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1379 : 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1380 : 89 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and osteoarthritis. She passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1381 : 72 year-old Malaysian female, with history of Parkinson’s disease. She passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1382 : 81 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1383 : 35 year-old Malaysian male, with history of gout and obesity. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1384 : 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1385 : 57 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity. She passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1386 : 55 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the KL Hospital.

 

Day 97 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 97th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
