COVID-19 in Malaysia : 379473 Cases, 356816 Discharged, 1389 Dead

Malaysia reported 2341 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths, but discharged 1592 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 20 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1592 Patients Discharged!

On 20 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1592 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 356,816 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 94.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2341 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2341 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 379,473, with 21,268 active cases – a big increase of 746 cases.

They also shared that there are 21 additional patients in the ICU – 249 cases right now, and 2 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 95 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 124,585 cases, followed by Sabah with 56,992 cases, Johor with 43,533 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 40,589 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 3 deaths today. That means a total of 1,389 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1387 : 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1388 : 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart disease, chronic kidney disease and COPD. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1389 : 65 year-old foreign female, who passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 98 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 98th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
