COVID-19 in Malaysia : 381813 Cases, 358726 Discharged, 1400 Dead

Malaysia reported 2340 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths, but discharged 1910 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 21 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1910 Patients Discharged!

On 21 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1910 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 358,726 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 94.0%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2340 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2340 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 381,813, with 21,687 active cases – an increase of 419 cases.

They also shared that there is 1 fewer patient in the ICU – 248 cases right now, and 6 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 101 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 125,111 cases, followed by Sabah with 57,164 cases, Johor with 43,703 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 40,880 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 11 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 11 deaths today. That means a total of 1,400 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1390 : 81 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, heart disease and chronic liver disease. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1391 : 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1392 : 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, tuberculosis, gout, chronic kidney disease and chronic lung disease. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1393 : 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease, chronic liver disease and COPD. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1394 : 68 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1395 : 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1396 : 80 year-old Malaysian female, whose body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1397 : 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. His body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1398 : 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1399 : 68 year-old foreign female, who passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1400 : 75 year-old foreign female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. Her body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 99 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 99th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
