COVID-19 in Malaysia : 387535 Cases, 363608 Discharged, 1415 Dead

Malaysia reported 2847 new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths, but discharged 2341 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 23 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2341 Patients Discharged!

On 23 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2341 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 363,608 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 93.8%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2847 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2847 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 387,535, with 22,512 active cases – an increase of 498 cases.

They also shared that there are 12 additional patients in the ICU – 260 cases right now, and 10 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 125 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 126,492 cases, followed by Sabah with 57,406 cases, Johor with 44,002 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 41,514 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 8 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 8 deaths today. That means a total of 1,415 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1408 : 65 year-old Malaysian female, with history of dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1409 : 32 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1410 : 77 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, chronic kidney disease and psoriasis. He passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1411 : 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and COPD. He passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1412 : 53 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, obesity and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1413 : 85 year-old Malaysian male, whose body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1414 : 48 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Machang Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1415 : 30 year-old foreign female, whose body was brought to the Duchess of Kent Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 101 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 101st day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
