Malaysia reported 2690 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths, but discharged 1853 patients who fully recovered!
Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 25 April 2021…
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1853 Patients Discharged!
On 25 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1853 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 367,753 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 93.6%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2690 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 2690 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 10 cases imported from overseas
– 8 in KL, 1 in Selangor, 1 in Sarawak - 2680 local cases
– 750 cases in Selangor : 65 from existing clusters, 6 from new Jalan Bukit Naga and Jalan Kuala Garing clusters, 542 from close contact screening, 137 from assorted screening.
– 594 cases in Sarawak : 58 from existing clusters, 209 from new Putai and Rayang clusters, 231 from close contact screening, 96 from assorted screening.
– 424 cases in Kelantan : 116 from existing clusters, 32 from new Halban Dua Cluster, 207 from close contact screening, 69 from assorted screening.
– 209 cases in KL : 4 from existing cluster, 136 from close contact screening, 69 from assorted screening.
– 159 cases in Johor : 26 from existing clusters, 15 from new Pagar Sri Lalang Cluster, 67 from close contact screening, 51 from assorted screening.
– 121 cases in Sabah : 25 from existing clusters, 10 from new Ladang Paris Dua Cluster, 62 from close contact screening, 24 from assorted screening.
– 117 cases in Penang : 20 from existing clusters, 47 from close contact screening, 50 from assorted screening.
– 64 cases in Perak : 25 from existing clusters, 24 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening.
– 76 cases in Kedah : 37 from existing clusters, 24 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening.
– 57 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 22 from existing clusters, 22 from close contact screening, 13 from assorted screening.
– 42 cases in Melaka : 11 from existing clusters, 1 from new Jalan Melaka Raya Cluster, 22 from close contact screening, 8 from assorted screening.
– 33 cases in Pahang : 8 from existing cluster, 16 from close contact screening, 9 from assorted screening.
– 25 cases in Terengganu : 14 from existing clusters, 9 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening
– 5 cases in Putrajaya : 2 from close contact screening, 3 from assorted screening.
– 3 cases in Labuan : 2 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening.
– 1 case in Perlis : from assorted screening
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 392,942, with 23,753 active cases – an increase of 827 cases.
They also shared that there are 11 additional patients in the ICU – 283 cases right now, and 3 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 121 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 128,011 cases, followed by Sabah with 57,659 cases, Johor with 44,287 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 41,971 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 10 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 10 deaths today. That means a total of 1,436 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.
Death #1427 : 75 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1428 : 67 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Death #1429 : 76 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1430 : 86 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1431 : 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1432 : 91 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and kidney disease. She passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.
Death #1433 : 68 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah.
Death #1434 : 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and lung disease. He passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1435 : 67 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, asthma, stroke and kidney disease. She passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.
Death #1436 : 81 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Kepala Batas Hospital in Penang.
Day 103 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 103rd day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.
Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
