Malaysia reported 2776 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, but discharged 1803 patients who fully recovered!
Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 26 April 2021…
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 1803 Patients Discharged!
On 26 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 1803 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 369,556 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 93.4%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2776 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 2776 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 3 cases imported from overseas
– 1 in KL, 1 in Selangor, 1 in Sabah - 2773 local cases
– 761 cases in Selangor : 15 from existing clusters, 52 from new Kampung Batu Sembilan Cluster, 510 from close contact screening, 184 from assorted screening.
– 615 cases in Sarawak : 69 from existing clusters, 22 from new Jalan Sebauh-Bintulu, Pondok Belaga and Sungai Senibung clusters, 427 from close contact screening, 97 from assorted screening.
– 343 cases in Kelantan : 42 from existing clusters, 25 from new Kampung Pangkal Chuit Cluster, 213 from close contact screening, 63 from assorted screening.
– 309 cases in Johor : 19 from existing clusters, 192 from new Jalan Impian Emas 17, Jalan Raja Bukit Pasir and Tanjung Kupang construction site clusters, 65 from close contact screening, 33 from assorted screening.
– 253 cases in KL : 6 from existing clusters, 149 from close contact screening, 98 from assorted screening.
– 123 cases in Penang : 10 from existing clusters, 20 from new Jalan Arumugam Pillai and Kampung Selamat clusters, 60 from close contact screening, 33 from assorted screening.
– 112 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 39 from existing clusters, 37 from close contact screening, 36 from assorted screening.
– 87 cases in Sabah : 11 from existing clusters, 61 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening.
– 45 cases in Perak : 6 from existing clusters, 28 from close contact screening, 11 from assorted screening.
– 39 cases in Kedah : 21 from existing clusters, 1 from new Kampung Selamat Cluster, 10 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening.
– 34 cases in Melaka : 4 from existing clusters, 7 from new Jalan Residing and Kota Syahbandar clusters, 17 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening.
– 34 cases in Pahang : 12 from existing cluster, 17 from close contact screening, 5 from assorted screening.
– 9 cases in Terengganu : 4 from existing clusters, 3 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening
– 7 cases in Putrajaya : 2 from existing clusters, 3 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening.
– 2 cases in Labuan : 1 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening.
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 395,718, with 24,713 active cases – an increase of 960 cases.
They also shared that there are 17 additional patients in the ICU – 300 cases right now, and 12 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 133 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 128,773 cases, followed by Sabah with 57,747 cases, Johor with 44,596 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 42,225 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 13 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 13 deaths today. That means a total of 1,449 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.
Death #1437 : 70 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1438 : 40 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and obesity. She passed away at the Ampang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1439 : 71 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1440 : 49 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1441 : 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.
Death #1442 : 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1443 : 73 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Kapit Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1444 : 34 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and obesity. She passed away at the Kapit Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1445 : 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Death #1446 : 59 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Kapit Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1447 : 32 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity and COPD. She passed away at the Kapit Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1448 : 84 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Tumpat Hospital in Kelantan.
Death #1449 : 38 year-old foreign male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and gout. He passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.
Day 104 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 104th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 28 April 2021.
Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
