COVID-19 in Malaysia : 398451 Cases, 371575 Discharged, 1462 Dead

Malaysia reported 2733 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths, but discharged 2019 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 27 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2019 Patients Discharged!

On 27 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2019 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 371,575 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 93.3%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2733 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2733 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

  • 5 cases imported from overseas
    – 4 in KL, 1 in Sabah
  • 2728 local cases
    – 750 cases in Selangor : 29 from existing clusters, 37 from new Jalan Puchong, Jalan Sejati and Persiaran Setia Murni clusters, 502 from close contact screening, 182 from assorted screening.
    – 484 cases in Kelantan : 86 from existing clusters, 10 from new Jalan Padang Tembak Cluster, 322 from close contact screening, 66 from assorted screening.
    – 432 cases in Sarawak : 101 from existing clusters, 28 from new Sungai Tuah Cluster, 245 from close contact screening, 58 from assorted screening.
    – 373 cases in KL : 2 from existing clusters, 6 from new Bandar Baru Sentul Cluster, 234 from close contact screening, 131 from assorted screening.
    – 220 cases in Johor : 47 from existing clusters, 66 from new Jalan Kempas Muar Cluster, 79 from close contact screening, 28 from assorted screening.
    – 115 cases in Penang : 30 from existing clusters, 3 from new Cangkat Minden Cluster, 46 from close contact screening, 36 from assorted screening.
    – 81 cases in Sabah : 8 from existing clusters, 61 from close contact screening, 12 from assorted screening.
    – 61 cases in Terengganu : 46 from existing clusters, 10 from close contact screening, 5 from assorted screening.
    – 51 cases in Kedah
     : 24 from existing clusters, 6 from new Akar Peluru Cluster, 12 from close contact screening, 9 from assorted screening.
    – 39 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 9 from existing clusters, 17 from new Jalan Bukit Emas Cluster, 7 from close contact screening, 6 from assorted screening.
    – 38 cases in Perak : 12 from existing clusters, 19 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening.
    – 35 cases in Pahang : 3 from existing cluster, 18 from close contact screening, 14 from assorted screening.
    – 33 cases in Melaka : 18 from new Teknologi Ayer Keroh Cluster, 11 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening
    – 15 cases in Putrajaya : 4 from existing clusters, 9 from close contact screening, 2 from assorted screening.
    – 1 case in Perlis : from close contact screening

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 398,451, with 25,414 active cases – an increase of 701 cases.

They also shared that there are 6 fewer patients in the ICU – 294 cases right now, but 5 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 138 cases right now.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 129,523 cases, followed by Sabah with 57,829 cases, Johor with 44,816 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 42,602 cases.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 13 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 13 deaths today. That means a total of 1,462 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1450 : 70 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sultan Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1451 : 54 year-old Malaysian male, with history of prolapsed intervertebral disc. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1452 : 79 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sultan Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1453 : 48 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1454 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. His body was brought to the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1455 : 45 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1456 : 78 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Tampin Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #1457 : 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1458 : 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and COPD. He passed away at the Jeli Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1459 : 80 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout, liver disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1460 : 83 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Kepala Batas Hospital in Penang.

Death #1461 : 65 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Segamat Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #1462 : 23 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Day 105 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 105th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
