COVID-19 in Malaysia : 408713 Cases, 377980 Discharged, 1506 Dead

Malaysia reported 3788 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths, but discharged 2640 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 30 April 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2640 Patients Discharged!

On 30 April 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2640 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 377,980 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 92.5%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3788 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3786 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

  • 2 cases imported from overseas
    – both in KL
  • 3786 local cases
    – 1265 cases in Selangor : 11 from existing clusters, 39 from new Jalan Wau and Jalan Taming Dua clusters, 980 from close contact screening, 235 from assorted screening.
    – 760 cases in Sarawak : 47 from existing clusters, 60 from new Air Padang, Jalan Agama, Nanga Tajam, Sungai Ngungun and Sungai Ranan clusters, 574 from close contact screening, 79 from assorted screening.
    – 464 cases in Kelantan : 126 from existing clusters, 6 from new Kemayang Cluster, 261 from close contact screening, 71 from assorted screening.
    – 253 cases in KL : 6 from existing clusters, 10 from Taman Bukit Hijau Cluster, 141 from close contact screening, 96 from assorted screening.
    – 250 cases in Penang : 4 from existing clusters, 95 from new Perusahaan Baru Dua and Jalan Todak Satu construction site clusters, 76 from close contact screening, 75 from assorted screening.
    – 160 cases in Johor : 48 from existing clusters, 15 from new Jalan Sultanah and Pagar Rimba clusters, 64 from close contact screening, 33 from assorted screening.
    – 136 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 16 from existing clusters, 88 from new Jalan Dataran Cluster, 25 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening.
    – 136 cases in Kedah : 99 from existing clusters, 22 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening.
    – 118 cases in Perak
     : 32 from existing clusters, 9 from new Chersonese Cluster, 52 from close contact screening, 25 from assorted screening.
    – 89 cases in Sabah : 9 from existing clusters, 9 from new Kampung Bergosong Cluster, 49 from close contact screening, 22 from assorted screening.
    – 55 cases in Melaka : 9 from existing clusters, 11 from new Kampung Hilir Alor Gajah Cluster, 19 from close contact screening, 16 from assorted screening.
    – 54 cases in Pahang : 17 from existing clusters, 21 from close contact screening, 16 from assorted screening.
    – 37 cases in Terengganu : 14 from existing cluster, 17 from close contact screening, 6 from assorted screening.
    – 5 cases in Perlis : from existing clusters
    – 2 cases in Putrajaya : from assorted screening
    – 2 cases in Labuan : from assorted screening

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 408,713, with 29,227 active cases – a massive increase of 1134 cases.

They also shared that there are 19 additional patients in the ICU – 328 cases right now, and 14 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 161 cases right now.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 132,890 cases, followed by Sabah with 58,136 cases, Johor with 45,377 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 43,656 cases.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 14 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 14 deaths today. That means a total of 1,506 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1493 : 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemis, gout and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1494 : 54 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1495 : 97 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #1496 : 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1497 : 86 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1498 : 40 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypothyroidism. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1499 : 63 year-old Malaysian female, with history of dyslipidemia, liver disease and cancer. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1500 : 33 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. She passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1501 : 77 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease. His body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1502 : 84 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1503 : 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. His body was brought to the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1504 : 83 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and stroke. She passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #1505 : 48 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1506 : 66 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. Her body was brought to the KL Hospital.

Day 108 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 108th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
