COVID-19 in Malaysia : 417512 Cases, 385208 Discharged, 1551 Dead

Malaysia reported 2500 new COVID-19 cases and 18 deaths, but discharged 2068 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 3 May 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2068 Patients Discharged!

On 3 May 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2068 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 385,208 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 92.3%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2500 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 2500 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

  • 4 cases imported from overseas
    – 3 in KL, 1 in Melaka
  • 2496 local cases
    – 637 cases in Selangor
    : 58 from existing clusters, 29 from new Industri Mahkota 2 Cluster, 454 from close contact screening, 96 from assorted screening.
    – 401 cases in Kelantan : 140 from existing clusters, 206 from close contact screening, 55 from assorted screening.
    – 356 cases in Sarawak : 61 from existing clusters, 231 from close contact screening, 64 from assorted screening.
    – 205 cases in Johor : 25 from existing clusters, 25 from new Jalan Bandar and Jalan Jati Industri clusters, 96 from close contact screening, 59 from assorted screening.
    – 197 cases in KL : 133 from existing clusters, 64 from assorted screening.
    – 194 cases in Penang : 43 from existing clusters, 71 from close contact screening, 80 from assorted screening.
    – 103 cases in Kedah : 72 from existing clusters, 1 from new Bunga Raya Cluster, 16 from close contact screening, 14 from assorted screening.
    – 97 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 16 from existing clusters, 56 from close contact screening, 25 from assorted screening.
    – 94 cases in Melaka
     : 59 from existing clusters, 1 from new Jalan Dahlia Lima Cluster, 23 from close contact screening, 11 from assorted screening.
    – 59 cases in Perak : 11 from existing clusters, 7 from new Jalan Meru Utama Cluster, 31 from close contact screening, 10 from assorted screening.
    – 57 cases in Sabah : 17 from existing clusters, 28 from close contact screening, 12 from assorted screening.
    – 55 cases in Pahang : 4 from existing clusters, 9 from new Indera Mahkota Dua and Lorong Galing clusters, 29 from close contact screening, 13 from assorted screening.
    – 38 cases in Terengganu : 11 from existing clusters, 15 from new Tok Has Cluster, 8 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening.
    – 3 cases in Putrajaya : 2 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 417,512, with 30,753 active cases – a big increase of 414 cases.

They also shared that there are 7 additional patients in the ICU – 352 cases right now, and 11 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 186 cases right now.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 135,486 cases, followed by Sabah with 58,372 cases, Johor with 46,105 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 44,369 cases.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 18 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 18 deaths today. That means a total of 1,551 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1534 : 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1535 : 80 year-old Malaysian male, with history of stroke and Addison Disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1536 : 87 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, stroke and heart disease. She passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1537 : 72 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1538 : 59 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, stroke and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Kunak Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1539 : 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1540 : 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1541 : 29 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, obesity and cellulitis. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1542 : 56 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1543 : 68 year-old Malaysian female, with history of heart disease, stroke and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1544 : 52 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #1545 : 58 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and stroke. He passed away at the Shah Alam Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1546 : 46 year-old Malaysian male, with history of obesity. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1547 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1548 : 86 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and heart disease. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1549 : 61 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Death #1550 : 57 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart disease and Follicular Adenoma. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1551 : 49 year-old foreign female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Today marks the 111th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
