COVID-19 in Malaysia : 420632 Cases, 387542 Discharged, 1574 Dead

Malaysia reported 3120 new COVID-19 cases and 23 deaths, but discharged 2334 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 4 May 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2334 Patients Discharged!

On 4 May 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2334 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 387,542 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 92.1%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3120 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3120 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

  • 6 cases imported from overseas
    – 4 in KL, 2 in Johor
  • 3114 local cases
    – 675 cases in Selangor
    : 33 from existing clusters, 2 from new Taming Jaya Cluster, 458 from close contact screening, 182 from assorted screening.
    – 620 cases in Sarawak : 136 from existing clusters, 5 from new Batu 25 and Bungey clusters, 415 from close contact screening, 64 from assorted screening.
    – 404 cases in KL : 6 from existing clusters, 12 from new Jalan Yahya 2 and Layangan Labuan clusters, 247 from close contact screening, 139 from assorted screening.
    – 334 cases in Johor : 115 from existing clusters, 35 from new Jalan Ungku Abdul Aziz, Jalan Surian, Taman Sri Lambak, Persiaran Medini Sentral and Tangkis Selatan clusters, 137 from close contact screening, 47 from assorted screening.
    – 296 cases in Kelantan : 43 from existing clusters, 2 from new Batu 30 and Jalan Kweng Hitam clusters, 191 from close contact screening, 60 from assorted screening.
    – 167 cases in Penang : 15 from existing clusters, 21 from new Jalan Besar Sungai Jawi Cluster, 55 from close contact screening, 76 from assorted screening.
    – 155 cases in Kedah : 75 from existing clusters, 14 from new Dah Kilometre Tujuh and Jerai Maju clusters, 45 from close contact screening, 21 from assorted screening.
    – 117 cases in Perak : 28 from existing clusters, 19 from new Lubuk Katak Cluster, 55 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening.
    – 95 cases in Negeri Sembilan
     : 21 from existing clusters, 40 from close contact screening, 34 from assorted screening.
    – 52 cases in Melaka : 20 from existing clusters, 25 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening.
    – 89 cases in Sabah : 33 from existing clusters, 14 from new D’Kuala Cluster, 30 from close contact screening, 12 from assorted screening.
    – 53 cases in Terengganu : 39 from existing clusters, 8 from close contact screening, 6 from assorted screening.
    – 41 cases in Pahang : 8 from existing clusters, 24 from close contact screening, 9 from assorted screening.
    – 11 cases in Putrajaya : 2 from existing clusters, 5 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening.
    – 5 cases in Labuan : 3 from new Layangan Labuan Cluster, 1 from close contact screening, 1 from assorted screening.

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 420,632, with 31,516 active cases – a big increase of 763 cases.

They also shared that there are 14 fewer patients in the ICU – 338 cases right now, and 5 fewer patients requiring respiratory support – 181 cases right now.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 136,161 cases, followed by Sabah with 58,461 cases, Johor with 46,441 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 44,777 cases.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 23 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 23 deaths today. That means a total of 1,574 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.

Death #1552 : 66 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. She passed away at the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1553 : 53 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1554 : 54 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Perak.

Death #1555 : 44 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension, asthma and heart disease. She passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1556 : 85 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1557 : 82 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1558 : 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity. She passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1559 : 64 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1560 : 81 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Universiti Sains Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1561 : 68 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes. He passed away at the KL Hospital.

Death #1562 : 47 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and liver disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1563 : 58 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1564 : 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, dyslipidemia, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1565 : 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1566 : 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1567 : 41 year-old Malaysian female, with history of obesity. She passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1568 : 66 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. His body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

Death #1569 : 49 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1570 : 76 year-old Malaysian male, with history of gout. He passed away at the Raja Permaisuri Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1571 : 37 year-old Malaysian male, with history of obesity. He passed away at the Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1572 : 80 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and Parkinson’s Disease. He passed away at the Universiti Sains Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1573 : 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #1574 : 85 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and stroke. Her body was brought to the Melaka Hospital.

Today marks the 112nd day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
