Malaysia reported 3744 new COVID-19 cases and 17 deaths, but discharged 2304 patients who fully recovered!
Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 5 May 2021…
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2304 Patients Discharged!
On 5 May 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2334 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!
That means a total of 389,846 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 91.9%.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3744 New Cases!
The third wave continues with 3744 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!
- 7 cases imported from overseas
– 2 in Selangor, 2 in Labuan, 1 in KL, 1 in Sarawak, 1 in Melaka - 3737 local cases
– 1546 cases in Selangor : 74 from existing clusters, 9 from new Persiaran Setia Prima, Seruling Dua Belas and Taman Medan clusters, 968 from close contact screening, 495 from assorted screening.
– 480 cases in Kelantan : 68 from existing clusters, 2 from new Kampung Padang Lalang and Kampung Paya clusters, 329 from close contact screening, 81 from assorted screening.
– 418 cases in Sarawak : 76 from existing clusters, 5 from new Jalan Sawit, Sungai Mas, Tanjung Nibong and Mongkos clusters, 227 from close contact screening, 110 from assorted screening.
– 312 cases in KL : 23 from new Jalan Damai Bakti, Jalan Yaacob Latif and Sri Manjalara clusters, 185 from close contact screening, 104 from assorted screening.
– 292 cases in Johor : 56 from existing clusters, 18 from new Jalan Dato Onn, Jalan Kukup and Persiaran Layar Perak clusters, 145 from close contact screening, 73 from assorted screening.
– 195 cases in Penang : 6 from existing clusters, 80 from close contact screening, 109 from assorted screening.
– 124 cases in Kedah : 42 from existing clusters, 50 from close contact screening, 32 from assorted screening.
– 76 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 13 from existing clusters, 43 from close contact screening, 20 from assorted screening.
– 73 cases in Terengganu : 65 from existing clusters, 3 from close contact screening, 5 from assorted screening.
– 65 cases in Perak : 8 from existing clusters, 2 from new Taman Pertama Cluster, 39 from close contact screening, 16 from assorted screening.
– 50 cases in Sabah : 9 from existing clusters, 26 from close contact screening, 15 from assorted screening.
– 49 cases in Pahang : 21 from existing clusters, 17 from new Mahkota Height, Mutiara Bentong and Tanah Putih Baru clusters, 7 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening.
– 42 cases in Melaka : 10 from existing clusters, 13 from new Kopitiam Machap Baru cluster, 12 from close contact screening, 7 from assorted screening.
– 11 cases in Putrajaya : 5 from close contact screening, 6 from assorted screening.
– 3 cases in Labuan : 2 from existing clusters, 1 from close contact screening
– 1 case in Perlis : from assorted screening
This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 424,376, with 32,939 active cases – a huge increase of 1423 cases.
They also shared that there are 10 fewer patients in the ICU – 328 cases right now, and 4 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 185 cases right now.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State
Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.
Selangor is at the top with 137,709 cases, followed by Sabah with 58,511 cases, Johor with 46,733 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 45,090 cases.
COVID-19 In Malaysia : 17 Deaths Today
The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 17 deaths today. That means a total of 1,591 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.37%.
Death #1575 : 68 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. Her body was brought to the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1576 : 66 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Columbia Asia Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1577 : 42 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and obesity. He passed away at the Universiti Sains Hospital in Kelantan.
Death #1578 : 61 year-old Malaysian female, with history of liver disease. She passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.
Death #1579 : 48 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1580 : 62 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1581 : 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Teluk Intan Hospital in Perak.
Death #1582 : 68 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1583 : 58 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and tuberculosis.He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.
Death #1584 : 68 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1585 : 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1586 : 64 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Taiping Hospital in Perak.
Death #1587 : 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, dyslipidemia, heart disease and heart disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1588 : 69 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1589 : 46 year-old Malaysian female, with history of stroke and heart disease. She passed away at the Selayang Hospital in Selangor.
Death #1590 : 84 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor.
Death #1591 : 82 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia. Her body was brought to the Tengku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.
Day 113 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia
Today marks the 113rd day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.
Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
