COVID-19 in Malaysia : 427927 Cases, 392555 Discharged, 1610 Dead

Malaysia reported 3551 new COVID-19 cases and 19 deaths, but discharged 2709 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 6 May 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 2709 Patients Discharged!

On 6 May 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 2334 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 392,555 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 91.7%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3551 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 3551 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

  • 16 cases imported from overseas
    – 9 in Selangor, 6 in KL, 1 in Johor
  • 3535 local cases
    – 1128 cases in Selangor
    : 25 from existing clusters, 79 from new Industri Platinum, Jalan Batu Arang, Jalan Sungai Merab and Jalan Teknologi Kota Damansara clusters, 738 from close contact screening, 286 from assorted screening.
    – 471 cases in KL : 3 from existing clusters, 268 from close contact screening, 200 from assorted screening.
    – 391 cases in Sarawak : 51 from existing clusters, 255 from close contact screening, 85 from assorted screening.
    – 326 cases in Kelantan : 86 from existing clusters, 7 from new Jalan Tamangan and Kampung Chat clusters, 177 from close contact screening, 56 from assorted screening.
    – 305 cases in Penang : 88 from existing clusters, 85 from close contact screening, 132 from assorted screening.
    – 257 cases in Johor : 101 from existing clusters, 16 from new Jalan Korma and Jalan Pertama Empat clusters, 88 from close contact screening, 52 from assorted screening.
    – 137 cases in Perak : 35 from existing clusters, 6 from new Persiaran Greentown Tujuh and Persiaran Meru Raya clusters, 65 from close contact screening, 31 from assorted screening.
    – 112 cases in Kedah : 47 from existing clusters, 3 from new Dah Lubuk Emas cluster, 37 from close contact screening, 25 from assorted screening.
    – 97 cases in Pahang
     : 35 from existing clusters, 6 from new Indera Mahkota Lima Cluster, 35 from close contact screening, 21 from assorted screening.
    – 85 cases in Negeri Sembilan : 2 from existing clusters, 59 from new Industri Lengkuk Teknologi Cluster, 16 from close contact screening, 8 from assorted screening.
    – 82 cases in Melaka : 38 from existing clusters, 25 from close contact screening, 19 from assorted screening.
    – 69 cases in Sabah : 21 from existing clusters, 1 from new Jalan Tunku Cluster, 27 from close contact screening, 20 from assorted screening.
    – 58 cases in Terengganu : 35 from existing clusters, 14 from close contact screening, 9 from assorted screening.
    – 12 cases in Putrajaya : 8 from close contact screening, 4 from assorted screening.
    – 3 cases in Perlis : all from close contact screening
    – 2 cases in Labuan : from existing cluster

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 427,927, with 33,762 active cases – a huge increase of 823 cases.

They also shared that there are 26 additional patients in the ICU – 354 cases right now, and 14 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 199 cases right now.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 138,846 cases, followed by Sabah with 58,580 cases, Johor with 46,991 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 45,567 cases.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 19 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 19 deaths today. That means a total of 1,610 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1592 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and meningioma. His body was brought to the Sultanah Fatimah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1593 : 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of lymphoma. She passed away at the Sarawak General Hospital.

Death #1594 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu.

Death #1595 : 63 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1596 : 73 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Kedah.

Death #1597 : 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and COPD. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1598 : 31 year-old Malaysian male, with history of obesity. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital in Pahang.

Death #1599 : 44 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1600 : 78 year-old Malaysian female, who passed away at the Tanah Merah Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1601 : 57 year-old Malaysian male, with history of obesity. He passed away at the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #1602 : 76 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, chronic lung disease and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1603 : 57 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Kajang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1604 : 92 year-old Malaysian female, with history of chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital in KL.

Death #1605 : 79 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and stroke. She passed away at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1606 : 79 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and psoriatic arthritis. He passed away at the Shah Alam Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1607 : 74 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital in Johor.

Death #1608 : 62 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension. Her body was brought to the KL Hospital.

Death #1609 : 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and chronic kidney disease. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1610 : 51 year-old foreign male, whose body was brought to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan.

Day 114 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 114th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
