COVID-19 in Malaysia : 432425 Cases, 396004 Discharged, 1632 Dead

Malaysia reported 4498 new COVID-19 cases and 22 deaths, but discharged 3449 patients who fully recovered!

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 3449 Patients Discharged!

On 7 May 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 3449 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 396,004 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 91.6%.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4498 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 4498 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 432,425, with 34,789 active cases – a huge increase of 1027 cases.

They also shared that there are 18 additional patients in the ICU – 372 cases right now, and 12 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 211 cases right now.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : Cases Breakdown By State

Here is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, according to states.

Selangor is at the top with 140,270 cases, followed by Sabah with 58,733 cases, Johor with 47,318 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 46,003 cases.

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 22 Deaths Today

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 22 deaths today. That means a total of 1,632 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.38%.

Death #1611 : 78 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes and hypertension. He passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1612 : 75 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Miri Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1613 : 63 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. She passed away at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1614 : 62 year-old Malaysian male, with history of heart disease and asthma. He passed away at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1615 : 69 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, heart disease and dyslipidemia. He passed away at the Teluk Intan Hospital in Perak.

Death #1616 : 59 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1617 : 71 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, gout and heart disease. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1618 : 72 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, COPD and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1619 : 80 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and gout. He passed away at the Bintulu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1620 : 68 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes and hypertension. She passed away at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Johor.

Death #1621 : 60 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, heart disease and asthma. He passed away at the Sarikei Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1622 : 82 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kelantan.

Death #1623 : 78 year-old Malaysian male, who passed away at the Sibu Hospital in Sarawak.

Death #1624 : 56 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and obesity. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1625 : 53 year-old Malaysian male, with history of hypertension. He passed away at the Serdang Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1626 : 38 year-old Malaysian female, with history of hypertension and obesity. She passed away at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor.

Death #1627 : 60 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension, asthma and obesity. She passed away at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital in Perlis.

Death #1628 : 71 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. She passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1629 : 50 year-old Malaysian female, with history of diabetes. She passed away at the Seri Manjung Hospital in Perak.

Death #1630 : 37 year-old Malaysian male, with history of diabetes, chronic kidney disease and tuberculosis. He passed away at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Kedah.

Death #1631 : 67 year-old foreign male, with history of hypertension and stroke. He passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor.

Death #1632 : 87 year-old foreign male, with history of asthma. His body was brought to the Tawau Hospital in Sabah.

 

Day 115 Of CMCO / RMCO 2.0 In Malaysia

Today marks the 115th day of the CMCO / RMCO 2.0 which will last until 17 May 2021.

Under CMCO / RMCO 2.0, inter-district travel is allowed, but not interstate travel. And businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
