Malaysia reported 8290 new COVID-19 cases and 61 deaths, but discharged 4814 patients who fully recovered!

Here are the COVID-19 updates for Malaysia on 28 May 2021…

 

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 4814 Patients Discharged!

On 28 May 2021, the Malaysia Ministry of Health announced that another 4814 patients fully recovered from COVID-19, and were discharged today!

That means a total of 474,139 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered in Malaysia so far! That’s a recovery rate of 86.3%.

COVID-19 In Malaysia : 8290 New Cases!

The third wave continues with 8290 new COVID-19 cases in Malaysia – the highest record to date!

This raises the total number of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 549,514, with 72,823 active cases – a whopping increase of 3,418 cases!

They also shared that there are 37 additional patients in the ICU – 808 cases right now, and 11 additional patients requiring respiratory support – 403 cases right now.

Selangor is at the top with 179,502 cases, followed by Sabah with 61,582 cases, Johor with 56,993 cases, and Kuala Lumpur with 56,862 cases.

The Malaysia Ministry of Health announced 61 deaths today!

That means a total of 2,552 people have died from COVID-19 in Malaysia – a mortality rate of 0.46%.

Today marks the 17th day of the MCO 3.0 which will last until 7 June 2021.

Under MCO 3.0, inter-district and interstate travel are forbidden, but businesses are allowed to operate, subject to SOP.
