Fitness First Setia City Mall : COVID-19 Infection Confirmed

Fitness First emailed their clients to inform them that one of their members at the Setia City Mall outlet tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the email, the affected member visited Fitness First Setia City Mall at 8 PM on Friday, 2 October 2020. At that time, this member did not exhibit any symptoms during the health screening.

It was only on 7 October 2020 when this Fitness First member was called in for a COVID-19 test and tested positive thereafter.

That is why it is so critical that everyone log their movements using MySejahtera or a physical logbook. It will allow easy and accurate contact tracing.

 

Fitness First Setia City Mall COVID-19 Infection : Actions Taken

As advised by the Malaysia Ministry of Health, Fitness First shut down their Setia City Mall outlet today for a disinfection and sanitisation exercise.

All of their staff members who worked during the time in question are now under home quarantine, after going for their COVID-19 tests, and are now awaiting their results.

Fitness First also assured their members that their outlets are cleaned and sanitised 7 times a day.

They will reopen their Setia City Mall outlet with a fresh new team tomorrow, 9 October 2020.

Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :

• Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
• Avoid public events and crowds
• Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
• Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
• If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
• Wash your food with water (and soap) after purchase and before preparation
