On Thursday, 20 April 2023, the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad announced that Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2023 falls on Saturday, April 22.

In keeping with the command of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and with the consent of the Rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Hari Raya for the states in Malaysia has been set for Saturday, April 22, 2023

Hari Raya 2023, School + Public Holidays Confirmed!


Public Holidays For Hari Raya 2023

On Tuesday, 18 April 2023, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, announced that there will be an additional day of public holiday for Hari Raya 2023!

Now that Hari Raya 2023 has been confirmed to fall on Saturday, April 22, the extra day of public holiday will fall on Friday, April 21. Here are the updated public holidays for Hari Raya 2023:

School Holidays For Hari Raya 2023

On 11 April 2023, the Ministry of Education declared that April 19 would be a special school holiday, in addition to the mid-term holiday which starts on April 20.

With the announcement, here are the updated holiday schedule for Hari Raya 2023.

Group A

Group A states are Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
