Truth : Kamala Harris did not paralyse girl in 2011 hit-and-run accident!

With help from Shayan Sardarizadeh of BBC Verify, we can confirm that this is another example of fake news created about Kamala Harris, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : KBSF appears to be a fake website

Let me start by pointing out that the article and video (archive) by KBSF – San Francisco News is fake.

First of all, there is no TV station by the name KBSF in San Francisco, or anywhere else in the United States for the matter.

In addition, the website itself is brand new – its domain – kbsf-tv.com, was only registered on 20 August 2024, at around 9:13 PM Zulu Time (UTC). The ownership of the website domain is also being “redacted for privacy” – which is common with scam or fake websites.

According to Shayan Sardarizadeh of BBC Verify, KBSF – San Francisco News has all the hallmarks of AI-powered fake news websites set up by Mosc0w-based John Mark Dougan, who is a former Florida police officer.

Fact #2 : Accident photo was taken in 2018

The cover photo, which purportedly shows the scene of the hit-and-run accident, wasn’t taken in 2011, or in San Francisco for the matter.

That photo was actually taken on Wednesday, 17 January 2018, on Route 10 in Mangilao, Guam. The 59 year-old driver struck an 81 year-old man, who later died at the hospital.

Fact #3 : Article confuses victim’s name

The KBSF article twice named victim / whistleblower as Alisha Brown, but later changed it to Alicia Brown. The video itself labels the victim as Alicia Brown.

Fact #4 : X-ray photos are not from car accident

As “evidence”, the video showed two X-ray photos, purportedly showing the injuries that Alisha / Alicia Brown suffered after being hit by Kamala Harris in 2011. The truth is – those X-ray photos were taken from medical research journals.

The first is an x-ray image taken  on 4 February 2009, and shows rib fractures in a 58 year-old man suffering from Cronkhite-Canada syndrome.

The second x-ray image shows a Type C pelvic ring injure in a 12 year-old girl, that was posted online in the Journal of Children’s Orthopaedics on 1 February 2017.

Obviously, both x-ray images had nothing to do with any hit-and-run accident involving Kamala Harris, or a 13 year-old girl called Alicia / Alisha Brown.
