LEGO NEXO Knights Launched In Malaysia

Spread the love

Malaysians are crazy about LEGOs. Like Milo, they are literally a staple for Malaysian children. Parents love them because they encourage creativity, while keeping their children busy. Children (and those young at heart) love them because they get to create literally everything they can imagine from simple blocks.

But the times – they are a-changin’… and LEGO must adapt with the times. That’s why they established theme parks all over the world, with one of them right here in Malaysia. They have also created a new franchise to cater to the new digital generation – LEGO NEXO Knights (Amazon).

The World Of LEGO NEXO Knights

Set in the futuristic medieval world of Knighton, the LEGO NEXO Knights (Amazon) follows five young knights in their quest to battle Jestro, the royal court’s evil jester. Budding squires joining this battle can choose from an arsenal of futuristic battle gear and activate the NEXO Powers that will help them defeat the Lava Monsters and grow into full-fledged knights.

The heroic knight, Clay Moorington leads alpha superstar Lance Richmond, hipster Aaron Fox, warrior princess Macy Halbert and Axl the gentle (and hungry!) giant. With the help of the Great Digital Wizard, Merlok 2.0, they battle Jestro with his Book of Monsters and the Lava Monster Army.

These LEGO models are currently being displayed at the Centre Court of the Mid Valley Megamall from now until the 20th of March, 2016. So make sure you go over and check them out!

LEGO NEXO Knights – Digital Gaming With LEGO

LEGO NEXO Knights (Amazon) represents a merger of LEGO physical building blocks and augmented reality gaming using a smart device app. Newly appointed knights have the ability to “download” as many as 170 unique NEXO Powers to boost their abilities.

These powers come in the form of knight shields that exist in both physical and virtual forms. Players can find them in NEXO Knights building sets, print ads, books, comics and even the new LEGO NEXO Knights cartoons. To absorb those powers, they just need to use the free Merlok 2.0 app (available in both the App Store and Google Play) to scan power shields.

Adding these powers to the knight’s digital power collection will help the knight grow his/her capabilities, and thrive in the world of Knighton!
