Motorists going to Mutiara Damansara / Damansara Perdana, or passing through the Mutiara Damansara area tonight and tomorrow morning, please take note!

MRT Corp. has announced the full road closure of Jalan PJU 7/1 from 10 pm tonight (Feb. 5) until 10 am tomorrow morning (Feb. 6). That’s the road you see below.

They are closing 500 m on both bounds of Jalan PJU 7/1 to facilitate the installation of the link-bridge steel structure for the future Mutiara Damansara MRT station. Therefore, you won’t be able to turn into Jalan PJU 7/1 from Persiaran Surian and vice versa.

While this may reduce traffic along Persiaran Surian heading towards Kota Damansara, it will likely snarl traffic in the other routes in and out of the area. Also, due to the heavy jams expected today – the last working day before the Chinese New Year holidays, motorists are advised to avoid the area from 9 pm onwards.

 

Alternate Routes During The Road Closure

Here are the alternate route plans :

Green arrows : Motorists who want to reach Mutiara Damansara from Kota Damansara or LDP should use this route to reach Jalan PJU 7/8.

Purple arrows : Motorists from Mutiara Damansara who want to exit to Persiaran Surian (LDP-bound) should use this route to exit via Jalan PJU 7/8C.

Red arrows : Motorists from Mutiara Damansara and Damansara Perdana who want to exit to Persiaran Surian (Kota Damansara-bound) should use the Jalan PJU 8/1 route to get to the Damansara Perdana interchange, where they will need to turn right and go to the Bandar Utama interchange and make a U-turn to access Persiaran Surian.

Please take note of the alternate routes and share them with your family and friends. If you are coming to the area, or passing through, it pays to plan your travel tonight and tomorrow morning.
