MKN just released new travel SOP for Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak!
Take a look at what are the new requirements to travel to and from Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak.
Travel SOP For Sabah, Labuan + Sarawak (March 2021)
On 4 March 2021, the Malaysia National Security Council (MKN) released new travel SOP for Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak.
They did not mention when it would take effect, so the assumption is that it takes effect from when the notices were posted.
Travel SOP For Sabah
Here is the SOP MKN released for travel to Sabah on 4 March 2021 :
- Individuals may travel to Sabah, with police permission
- Travellers to Sabah must undergo a swab test within 3 days prior to their trip.
- Travellers from Sabah to Sarawak or Labuan must undergo a swab test within 3 days prior to their trip.
- Travellers from Sabah to Peninsular Malaysia do NOT need to undergo any swab test.
Travel SOP For Labuan
Here is the SOP MKN released for travel to Labuan on 4 March 2021 :
- Individuals may travel to Labuan, with police permission
- Travellers to Labuan must undergo a swab test within 3 days prior to their trip.
- Travellers from Labuan to Peninsular Malaysia do NOT need to undergo any swab test.
Travel SOP For Sarawak
Here is the SOP MKN released for travel to Sarawak on 4 March 2021 :
- Individuals may travel to Sarawak, with police permission
- Travellers to Sarawak must undergo a swab test within 3 days prior to their trip, and undergo a 14-day quarantine on arrival.
- The cost of the swab test and quarantine is only FREE for Sarawakians. Everyone else will have to pay for the cost on their own.
- Travellers from Sarawak to Peninsular Malaysia do NOT need to undergo any swab test.
