The Ministry of Education just announced details of the 3 October 2021 school reopening in Malaysia!

Here is what you need to know!

 

School Reopening Begins From 3 October In Stages!

On 15 August 2021, the Minister of Education. Dr. Radzi Jidin announced details of the 3 October 2021 school reopening in Malaysia!

The school opening will kick off in stages, starting with exam year students in Form Five and Form Six.

He provided further clarification on 12 September 2021, confirming the following :

Phase 1

Phase 2

Phase 3

Phase 4 (3 / 4 October)

Phase 4 (17 / 18 October)

Phase 4 (10 / 11 December)

 

3 October School Reopening : What You Need To Know!

On 12 September 2021, the Minister of Education. Dr. Radzi Jidin announced details of the 3 October school reopening process in Malaysia!

Schools That Can Reopen For Face-To-Face Teaching

These are the schools that can reopen for face-to-face teaching, without restrictions :

All other schools will reopen only at 50% capacity, with students divided into two rotating groups :

Shorter Year-End Holidays

Due to the disruption in studies, the year-end holiday will be shortened and take place from 10/11 December to 31 December 2021.

2021 School Year Extended To February 2022

The 2021 School Year will also be extended to March 2022.

The 2022 School Year will now begin in March 2022.

COVID-19 Precautions

The schools will adopt these COVID-19 precautions to reduce the risk to students attending classes :

Parental Choice

Parents and guardians are ALLOWED to opt-out from sending their children to school, without any disciplinary action.

They must, however, inform the school officially of that decision.
