The Sime Darby Property Headquarters was shut down indefinitely after one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19. Here are the details!

 

Sime Darby HQ Shut Down Because Of COVID-19

Sime Darby Property announced that they shut down their headquarters at Ara Damansara indefinitely, after one of their employees there tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday (6 October 2020).

The employee is currently being treated at a government hospital, and in line with government SOP, they closed off their Ara Damansara HQ.

Sime Darby Actions After COVID-19 Infection

All Sime Darby Property employees based at this headquarters will be working from home, until further notice. And to reduce the risk of further infections, they are undertaking these actions :

  • Detailed contract tracing to identify those who were in close contact with the affected employee
  • Employees who were in close contact are required to immediately self-quarantine for 14 days and undergo a COVID-19 screening test
  • Employees who visited Level 3 of the Sime Darby Property headquarters since Monday, 28 September 2020, are required to self-quarantine for 14 days and encouraged to undergo a COVID-19 screening test if they feel unwell or become symptomatic.
  • All costs pertaining to the COVID-19 screening test for affected employees and their immediate dependants will be borne by Sime Darby via AIA Pay & Claim.
  • The Sime Darby Property headquarters will undergo a deep cleaning and disinfection exercise.
  • Employees will be allowed to collect their belongings from their offices at the headquarters after the disinfection process.

The Sime Darby Property sales galleries and other office premises are not affected, and will continue to operate as usual.

 

COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe!

Here are a few simple steps to stay safe from COVID-19 :

  • Avoid suspected cases or disease hotpots, like hospitals, if possible!
  • Avoid public events and crowds
  • Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
  • Keep our home, office, vehicles, etc. clean
  • If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
  • Wash your food with water (and soap) after purchase and before preparation
