The Curve : Origani Staff Positive For COVID-19

The Curve at Mutiara Damansara closed early today for deep cleaning after an Origani staff tested positive for COVID-19.

To be clear, this is not a different Origani employee, but the same employee at Bangsar Shopping Centre.

She rotates through Origani outlets at five malls – Pavilion, Mid Valley Megamall, The Gardens Mall, Atria and The Curve.

This is the the chronology provided by Origani (thanks, Winnie!) :

  1. The employee was on duty at The Curve on Sunday, 4 October 2020.
  2. She met her cousin on Thursday, 8 October 2020, and found out that her cousin tested positive for COVID-19
  3. She underwent a COVID-19 test on Friday, 9 October 2020.
  4. The COVID-19 test result came back positive on Saturday, 10 October 2020.

Based on that chronology, The Curve was not at risk from this Origani employee. Neither were the malls she worked at on the 5th, 6th and 7th of October 2020.

Nevertheless, The Curve Management decided to close their mall early tonight to undertake a deep cleaning and sanitisation operation.

They will resume normal operations tomorrow, Tuesday, 13 October 2020.

The Origani outlet at The Curve was shut down following the positive test result, and all staff members who were in close contact are being tested.
