Did Marines arrest Victoria Nuland + husband for treason?!

Did US Marines just arrest Victoria Nuland and her husband, Robert Kagan, for treason and seditious conspiracy?! Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Marines Arrested Victoria Nuland + Husband For Treason!

On 7 March 2024, Real Raw News posted an article (archive) which claimed that US Marines just arrested Victoria Nuland and her husband, Robert Kagan, for treason and seditious conspiracy!

As usual, the article is long, rambling and confusing, so here is an excerpt. Please feel free to skip to the next section for the facts!

Marines Arrest Victoria Nuland and Husband

United States Marines on Monday arrested warmonger and top Deep State Department official Victoria Nuland, enforcing a military arrest warrant that charges the vile woman with treason and seditious conspiracy, crimes for which she will likely be executed, if convicted.

The arrest occurred Monday morning on the outskirts of D.C. at Nuland’s palatial estate. Sources in General Eric M. Smith’s office told Real Raw News that she and her husband, historian Robert Kagan, had just seated themselves for breakfast when a Marine scout/sniper squad stormed the home, tranquilized Nuland’s taxpayer-funded security detail, and arrested both Nuland and Kagan, the latter as a co-conspirator to Nuland’s villainy.

“Kagan is criminally complicit,” the source said.

Almost immediately after the arrest, the Deep State Department announced that Nuland would soon retire from politics. Our source said the announcement was characteristic of how the Deep State rationalizes the sudden disappearance of high-ranking officials to the public.

“The illegitimate administration isn’t going to admit the swamp is getting drained. And their MSM allies won’t either. If they did, they’d appear weak, rudderless, and ineffectual to their constituents. So, they make up these retirement and hospitalization stories to obscure the truth. The only place Nuland’s retiring to is GITMO, and hopefully the gallows,” our source said.

Nuland, he added, was so entrenched in the Deep State that they would probably kill her had she written a resignation letter.

The military’s indictment against Nuland is encyclopedic. It alleges she had overseen and micromanaged U.S. bioweapon laboratories in Ukraine. Moreover, it asserts that Nuland and Kagen were kingpins in the illegal production and distribution of Adrenochrome flowing between the United States and Eastern Europe. If all charges are valid, Nuland also had a role in the destruction of the Nord Stream pipeline and, years and years ago, managed Obama’s infamous enemies list.

Truth : US Marines Did Not Arrest Victoria Nuland + Husband!

The truth is – this is just another fake story created by Real Raw News, just to generate page views and money.

Fact #1 : US Marines Did Not Arrest Victoria Nuland + Husband!

This is really silly, but it has to be said – US Marines did not arrest Victoria Nuland and/or her husband, Robert Kagan. If Victoria Nuland and/or her husband were ever arrested for any reason, the news would have been reported by the mainstream media.

Yet, there was no such news. Not even right-wing conservative websites or pundits mentioned such a shocking event. That’s because – it never happened. Victoria Nuland and/or her husband were not arrested by the US Marines, or any law enforcement agency, for any reason.

Unsurprisingly, the Real Raw News article offered no evidence to back up its claim, just rambling nonsense.

Fact #2 : US Marines Cannot Arrest Civilians

It is really silly for anyone to claim that US Marines were sent to arrest civilians like Victoria Nuland and her husband. In fact, US Marines cannot even arrest military personnel!

Civilians like Victoria Nuland and her husband, Robert Kagan, would have been taken into custody by the state police, or the FBI, depending on the nature of the crime committed. US military members would never be involved in such arrests.

Even if either Victoria Nuland or her husband were somehow military personnel in the Marine Corps (they are not), they would have been arrested by US Marine Corps Military Police, not the marines themselves!

Fact #3 : Victoria Nuland Isn’t Retiring From Politics

Victoria Nuland isn’t retiring from politics, as claimed by the Real Raw News article, because she isn’t a politician. She is a diplomat who is currently serving as the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, under the US State Department.

On 5 March 2024, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that Victoria Nuland intends to step down as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.

The next day, the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs (CIPA) announced that Victoria Nuland will join its faculty as the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Professor in the Practice of International Diplomacy, starting 1 July 2024.

In short – Victoria Nuland’s retirement as Under Secretary of State was not a cover-up. She is relinquishing that role for a teaching position in Columbia CIPA.

Fact #4 : Real Raw News Is A Fake News Website

Real Raw News is a fake news website that capitalises on making shocking but fake stories to generate page views and money.

To protect himself from legal repercussions, the owner and writer, Michael Baxter (real name – Michael Tuffin), claims that his articles are “humour, parody, and satire“.

That disclaimer, which is not clearly mentioned in his articles, lets him keep creating fake news to go viral, and generate money.
